Kim, how and why did you create Grow Your Divine Business and the Divine Business Building Blueprint?
In August 2008, I left a corporate job that was sucking the life out of me. I had always dreamed of working for myself, doing work that was in alignment with my passions and beliefs, that let me express who I really was – a caring, spiritual being who felt called to help others, especially women. Up until that August, I had spent 20 years in the corporate arena developing and implementing efficient workflow, support and data management systems.
Looking back, I realize that I loved what I did – I loved the challenge of looking at how a process or project worked, what the key outcomes were, then developing a solid plan or blueprint to reconstruct it and make it more efficient, more profitable and working better for everyone involved. What I didn’t love was doing it for the corporate machine. I wanted to be helping to make the world a better place and feel comfortable incorporating holistic and spiritual principles into the work I was doing. Something I couldn’t do working for corporate America.
My passion to help others naturally led me to work in the spirit minded, holistic field. I actually started my entrepreneurial journey as a women’s empowerment coach. When I looked back at my first year in business, I realized that the Divine was sending me some career advice of my own. The fact was, over 90% of my income that first year was generated from clients who sought career mentoring and business growth strategies. Truth be told, when I was working on business strategies with my clients, I was energized and felt completely alive.
Soon, I found myself devouring every book, teleseminar and course I could find about using technology and the internet to build an abundant, passion driven business. Overtime, I realized that the biggest challenge for most of my clients and even for myself was not having a plan or a system I could follow to ensure success. So at the encouragement of my own coach and mentor, I took my experience, knowledge and the success stories of my clients and put them all together to develop my own signature system, and the The Divine Business Building Blueprint was born.
The rest, as they say, is history! Of course, there were some twists and turns and a whole series of mindset challenges and triumphs along the way. You can read more about my journey here.

Who are your clients?
The “industry” has a whole series of terms it uses to describe the people I work with. Here are some of them: soul-inspired, spirit-rich, heart-based, purpose-driven entrepreneurs, conscious business owners, change agents, and transformation or empowerment professionals. I lovingly refer to them as “soul-based or spirit-minded” business owners! My clients and students are women who are: coaches, consultants, speakers, wellness practitioners, healers, metaphysical consultants, and creative souls such as writers and artists. They are solo entrepreneurs who carry within them a burning desire to make a difference in the world and transform their clients’ lives. They feel a connection to and are guided by a higher source. They consistently and frequently tap into this Divine source to help guide their lives and their business. The majority of my clients have established businesses doing work they feel passionate about. The problem is, they aren’t experiencing the results they had hoped for or that they are seeking. Many of them have a vision of where they want to go, but aren’t sure how to get from where they are to where they want to be. They often experience frustration with being “stuck” and feel overwhelmed by the uncertainty of what to do next. I help them get out of overwhelm and into action!
How do I know if you and your programs are right for me?
You are most likely a good match for me and the work I do if you…
- See and treat your business as just that a business and not a hobby
- Are serious about growing your business and you are ready to do what it takes to make that happen
- Are excited by the prospect of attracting perfect clients and having a solid business model in place that allows you to support them AND prosper from you work
- Understand that a thriving business requires more than just passion, it requires commitment and the willingness to take action
- Are willing to set goals that feel like a stretch and take guided action that is slightly beyond your comfort zone to help you and your business grow
- Value yourself and your business enough to regularly invest time, energy and resources in their growth
- Take responsibility for and are committed to your own success
- Value the support and accountability of a mentor/coach on your journey to achieve your goals
- Feel strongly about forging lasting, supportive relationships with your clients, helping them to make the best decision for them and their business…even if it means losing a sale
In short, I work best with women who own their own business and who are extremely passionate about what they do. They are inspired to use their soul-based business as the vehicle by which they step fully into their power, bring forward their “inner expert” and allow themselves to share their gifts with the world. They see their businesses as an extension of who they are and as a catalyst to bring about transformation and change to those they serve and to the world! I understand that each of my clients is a unique and magnificent being and that when it comes to defining goals and dreams your definitions can and will vary. This is why I offer products, services and programs in a variety of ways and at varying price points. You choose the best fit for you at this time!
Can I still work with you if I am just starting out in my business?
As I mentioned above, the majority of my one on one clients already have established soul-based businesses. However, if you are serious about starting your business, ready to invest time, energy and resources and meet most, if not all, of the criteria above, we might be a good fit for one-on-one work. Otherwise I would love to support you with some of my other products and classes.
Is there anyone you WON'T work with?
I don’t work with people who say they are serious about their business, but treat it as if it were a hobby. As a client, I will challenge you to go beyond your comfort zone, to expand you thinking and your business. I always assing action items between sessions to keep you moving forward and growing.
If you are someone who struggles to take action and can't commit to taking the action agreed upon in sessions, then we probably won't be a good fit for each other.
I won’t work with someone who makes excuses, sees themselves as a victim, blames others for their lack of progress or constantly complains about the work it takes to be a success in their business. Although I welcome thoughts and feedback on my programs I will not work with clients who challenge and questions every aspect of my work. It may sound harsh, but there are lots of great mentors out there and if my style and program approach are not a good fit for you then I invite you not to work with me and to find someone whose style and approach is more in alignment with your own.
If any of the scenarios I have described above describe you, then we probably will not work well together. I have very clear boundaries around this issue, so please be honest with yourself, because I will be lovingly honest with you.
